Cavern @ Blk 93
To design a safe space for homeless individuals & families that provides a variety of living options for different personalities to co-exist, interact and find their new community of support. The space also has to find a balance between personal, communal and public zones, providing privacy while refraining from creating closed-off spaces of isolation.
Background research
Homelessness in Singapore is a topic that is often overlooked by our society, and it is necessary to first understand the challenges that this group faces in order to design a space that address their needs.

Target Users: Homeless families & individuals

Exploration: Caves & Curves
Taking caves as my inspiration, I explored how curves can be applied into my design to give users a sense of warmth & security through form and spatial experience.
